I’m not sure how to respond to this, but thank you. There is no lack of concerned feelings coming from me at this moment, so you don’t have to worry about me that extra bit.

Hey guys, I’ve been kind of in a daze for the past few days because of the multiple fires in my beautiful state. The Waldo Canyon fire alone has burned 365 buildings in a few days, already making it one of the worst fires in Colorado history. It still continues to burn with 15% containment, but my mom said that she thinks they’ve been able to stop it near the city. However, it still burns on the mountain, where people also live.
I am in no danger, so do not pray for me. Pray for those 32,000+ people that have been evacuated and those poor people who have lost their homes and everything inside. Pray for rain to come. Pray that the other fires do not get this bad, because there are multiple fires in Colorado and in the Rockies in general.
Thank you for every prayer. Every single one is needed.
I’ve been following a few blogs that aren’t LDS that I absolutely adore. One in particular is saved-by-faith who is a Lutheran. When I first discovered her blog, I wrote a message explaining that although I was a Mormon, I found the blog terrific. That although we may be different denominations, we still have at least one thing in common: the love of Christ. She responded saying that there weren’t many Mormons where she lives so she knows very little about our faith. This made me realize just how little I know about other faiths as well.
I come here to suggest an idea: I want to co-run a blog with people of different religious backgrounds. There, we can answer questions from others and get to understand other religions better. I really enjoy this idea. Being LDS all my life, I have little knowledge of the believes of faiths and denominations such as Catholic, Lutheran, Jewish, Islam, etc. I really want to know not only the unique things about each religion, but also the things we have in common.
I really like this idea, and I want to know if people think it’s a good idea as well. I’m thinking there can be one or two representatives of each religion/denomination, and we can answer questions to get to know other faiths. If you’d like to help out or think this is a good idea, drop by my ask box. It would also be helpful if you could forward this idea along to people of other faiths. I’ll tag as many as I can think of, but I know I won’t get anywhere close. Your help is much appreciated! Thank you! Have a wonderful day!

Happy birthday, to you!
Thanks! Youth conference in the mountains, although getting a painful sunburn on my calves, was probably the best way to spend a birthday. My friends sang different happy birthday songs (church, traditional, foreign language, restaurant versions, etc) every chance they got, so that got a bit tiring after 7 in the morning. But I did have a ton of fun.
I also really liked how a few people understood that post.
I’ll be going to Youth Conference tomorrow morning, and I don’t think I’ll be back here until Sunday. We get back on Saturday, but then I have a birthday dinner and then a multi-stake dance.
I’ve queued up some things, and I hope you all have a wonderful week.
