Stress

“Brother Su’a, I’m so stressed and I don’t know what to do.”

“When’s the last time you had Daddy Daughter time?”

“That’s just it, my dad is never around because he so busy and I can’t do anything with him and—”

“No no no. When’s the last time you had Daddy…” *points to the sky* “…Daughter…” *points to her* “…time?”

“Oh. Not for a while I guess. But with everything I have to do I don’t have the time…”

He explained that it shouldn’t be like that, and I remember a quote shared within TumblrStake. “If you are too busy to pray and read your scriptures, you are busier than God ever intended you to be.” (Possibly messed up the actual quote but you get the idea.)

Brother Su’a then shared D&C 10:4. “Do not run faster or labor more than you have strength and means provided to enable you to translate; but be diligent unto the end.”

Don’t stress yourself out too much. Once you start to get stressed, “your focus goes out the window. When your focus goes out the window, your emotions go out the window. When your emotions go out the window, your decision making skills go as well.”

The last 2 minutes of a sports game seem to take fifteen minutes because of all the time outs to get in the right positions and make sure everything is going correctly.

Take time outs when you have a lot to do. Take it a little at a time. Have some Daddy-Daughter/Father-Son time.

So true. Take some daddy-daughter or some father-son time. God’s just waiting for you to open up your schedule.
